A knowledge of basic photography principals is great to have, but not absolutely necessary to taking this course. It is important to note that this class is specific to the Sony Alpha cameras. It was originally created for the a6000 but all content applies to the a6300 and a6500 as well.

not enough detail, key concepts and menu items are skipped over - "you don't need them, just use x." I bought this course to explain all the menu options, not just the basics to get started. Also doesn't seem expert: "to be honest I don't know what this does." No examples of what the settings do to images (eg what high iso does, just says it makes it grainy, which some may not understand. why not show an example?). If you dont have much camera or photo knowledge and find the whole thing overwhelming, this will get you started, but it won't explain all the ins and outs.
For the sale price this is actually acceptable, but be aware that apart from the bonus color correction bit at the end which is only for videographers, this is a guy sitting in front of a camera just talking about the settings on the menu. There are essentially NO examples of what they do so you need to have some imagination or know something about photography to understand what he's talking about a lot of the time. Definitely would NOT be worth full price, and honestly you can find just about as good menu run-throughs on YouTube.
Start with explaining terminology. “ISO” “Aperture”
