JustinMarkOB (his friends call him Mark) started his entrepreneurial lifestyle and gained his great work ethic at a young age while growing up and working on his family farm in Nebraska.
In 2004, Mark started his college years with an internship at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. While at Disney he received a full semester of “Fortune 500 Customer Service” training courses and hands-on experience at Chef Mickey’s restaurant; even winning the yearly coveted “Guest Service Award”.
During college, he majored in Systems Engineering, while working full-time with the Nebraska Husker Football team and the University of Nebraska housing as a Resident Assistant. Mark went on to train 120+ University of Nebraska resident hall front desk workers in customer service for three years during college. In 2005, after taking a coding course, Mark taught himself other web coding languages and SEO (search engine optimization) during his spare time in college. He would research niche keywords, develop affiliate marketing websites around them, then flip them for a profit; this process helped eliminate all his college loans before graduating!
In 2008, Mark graduated with honors from UNL and took an internship with the Chicago Cubs where he won the 2009 “Employee of the Season”. While working full-time at Wrigley Field, Mark launched a commercial/TV production company; he managed TV commercial production and reality TV show development projects. He also took writing and improv classes at the world-renowned Second City Theater of Chicago.
In 2010 he moved his production company to Los Angeles. Mark has pitched and optioned shows to TV networks including Discovery, Comedy Central, TBS, Spike, VH1, GAC, LOGO, G4, NBC, TLC, CMT, MTV, truTV, and Bravo. While working freelance television and film positions in Los Angeles, Mark continued to develop and build various web applications and started multiple successful online businesses including an internationally distributed wedding band line and a charitable marketplace (acquired in 2014). Mark also taught various marketing, business, and math classes at several private high schools in Burbank, California. In 2014, he launched a top rated online course website and grew it to over 100,000+ students by 2015. In 2014, Mark finished as a top 8 finalist for the Entrepreneur magazine “Entrepreneur of the Year“.
