I am a Business Professional and an Assistant Dean of Teaching and Learning and Professor of Intercultural Studies. I teach on campus and online and have been doing that for the past seven years. Former CRM Manager (Customer Relationship Management) and Web Consultant for more than 10 years.

I owned my own Web Development and Consulting Company for 10 years prior to going into the Academic world. I love helping people improve their practice.

I earned my BS in Computer Science and Marketing, my MA in Intercultural Studies from Union University in Mill Valley, California and I am currently working on my PhD in Oxford, UK. My research is focused on Distance Education and Faculty Readiness Assessment.

My teaching philosophy is summarized by Paulo Freire’s statement: "There is in fact no teaching without learning" (Pedagogy of Freedom). I believe that all learners have embedded knowledge and that helps me be humble when interacting with anyone, being a professor only means that you now have the opportunity to learn from more people.

I have 14+ years of experience with digital literacy and web consulting.

I am actively and passionately involved in community development work in South Sudan and I started a few campaigns to help feed people affected by hunger because of the recent civil war in South Sudan.

I am a founding member of the Action Research Network of America, one of the first Action Research professional networks in the United States. I have conducted several research projects in US, Europe, Mexico and Africa on various topics such as: immigration, family, education and the effects of war on society. I have also been a visiting scholar in China, working with a few local Universities.

I am currently involved in a massive research project on Distance and Online education and have been part of large research projects as well as complex web development projects. My tech background and teaching skills complement each other well and have been a great resource for the places and people I have worked with.

I am excited about the opportunity to share the knowledge I acquired these past years with you and to learn from you how to improve what I am doing and the way I share this knowledge with you.

It was a very good course, but I would have liked more video content and less pdf downloads. Or maybe both the pdf downloads all in one section and more teaching. But in all, a good course that helped me to understand more that great program "evernote" .

It is nearly 5 years ago that this course was created. Evernote has changed quite a bit since this time. The teacher should put some time into updating the course to keep up with the times and keep the course relevant today so I and other students can continue to recommend it to our friends and family as a worthwhile expense of time and money.
